How would you like to see an actual return on investment on your social media posts using your social media tasks?

Did you know simple social media tasks can get you more followers, increase engagement and start getting more traffic and leads!  This is every business owner’s dream come true. But a one-man show can’t do it all can you?

If you want to start seeing actual measurable results then you have to start tasking your social media.

Every client I talk to has once told me, I’m posting and posting but I’m not seeing any return.  I’m doing exactly what I should be doing getting out there and posting all the time.

I’ve heard this over and over again when I‘m on discovery calls with potential coaching clients.  The truth is they are not doing daily, weekly, & monthly social media tasks for a better ROI! This article will cover the tasks that clients were neglecting that have truly made a significant impact on their ROI.

These simple tasks can get you from zero to hero in literally less than 30 days.  Consequently, it will grow your audience, boost engagement, and build a stronger brand presence.

One thing I advise new clients is that you will have to consistently block off time from your day, week, and month to see this success!  Calendar Blocking your tasks is crucial to see an ROI!

Daily Social Media Tasks

First, you’ll want to share new or fresh content daily to the social media accounts your business manages.  Want more people to find your content then you have to post daily. It’s not enough to post sporadically. Give people to follow you.  The top reasons people unfollow account is inactivity and poor quality and low value content!

But how can you create that much content!  Here’s an easy rule of thumb:

50% of your content is original and fresh

25% of your content is recycled from your content repertoire

15% of your content is curated from your audience taste

10% of your content is user-generated content (this increases as your audience creates more UGC)

One of the tasks that most of my clients fail to do daily is to reply to comments.  A. Sprout Social study reveals that 5 out of 6 messages go unanswered. Consequently, that just means that 1 out of every 6 messages gets answered.  Will you be the brand that actually answers?

Another task to add to your daily list is connecting with one new person.  The idea behind this task is to nurture one-to-one connections with your audience.  You can welcome new followers or send direct messages to new followers. You can even take it up a notch by starting conversations with users of the platform that are not following you.  There are so many fun ways to break the ice. Consider saying hi, offering a compliment, or sharing a GIF.

Weekly Social Media Tasks

Likewise, when it comes to connecting you’ll need to start connecting with influencers in your industry.  These are the movers and shakers that will be your brand advocate and help amplify your message. Don’t get creepy!  Furthermore, don’t get spammy. Remember to create genuine conversations. Warm up your connections then move into offers.  Make time to genuinely connect with influencers each week. Set a side 5 minutes to like, follow, comment, and prompt one or two influencers.  You’ll want to do this until the conversation becomes more natural and they start looking to engage back with you.

Monthly Social Media Tasks

Finally, you’ll want to review your posts and their traction monthly.  An audit helps you see what content resonates the best with your audience.  Likewise, audits help you goal set for the upcoming months. This way you can plan ahead for the next month, quarter, & year.

Make use of your analytics on each platform.  Use analytics to audit your content on a monthly basis.  This helps you develop your social media strategy to build an audience of the right people you want.
